Hamilton has teamed up with Christopher Nolan again — this time for a bronze field watch inspired by the filmmaker’s upcoming epic, The Odyssey. Hamilton says the Khaki Field Auto The Odyssey Limited Edition was created in collaboration with Nolan and draws directly from the film’s themes. Although the watch was not designed to appear on screen, its bronze construction and rugged details translate the story’s mythology into something fans can wear.
The 42mm case is made from bronze, which should develop its own patina over time. That material choice fits the theme neatly without making the watch look like a costume prop. Around the back, a brushed titanium caseback is engraved with Odysseus’ helmet and Christopher Nolan’s signature.
Hamilton has worked several Odyssey references into the design. The black dial uses a pattern inspired by Odysseus’ helmet, while the hands are shaped like swords. The 12 o’clock index is also designed to echo a rivet from the hero’s scabbard.
Powering the watch is Hamilton’s H-10 automatic movement, which delivers an 80-hour power reserve and uses a Nivachron balance spring. Other features include a sapphire crystal, Super-LumiNova, 100 metres of water resistance and a brown calf leather strap.
Beyond the watch itself, the limited-edition set includes several extras tied directly to the film. Hamilton says buyers will receive a replica of Athena’s pin, special packaging, and a commemorative plaque featuring Christopher Nolan’s signature.
Hamilton watches have previously appeared in several of Nolan’s films, including Interstellar, Tenet, and Oppenheimer. This latest collaboration takes a different direction, giving fans a wearable connection to The Odyssey even though the watch will not appear in the film.
The Khaki Field Auto The Odyssey Limited Edition is limited to 2,112 pieces and will be available from July 17. It is priced at $1,495 in the US.
